Frozen food forgives nothing. Once a consignment of ice cream, seafood, or frozen ready-meals drifts above its hold temperature, the damage is often invisible until the customer opens the box — softened texture, ice crystals, a food-safety question mark. In a city where the outside air sits above 45°C for months, keeping cargo genuinely sub-zero from loading to handover is the entire job.
Fast & Cool Transport has run frozen distribution across Dubai since 2014. This page explains why sub-zero transport is harder than it looks here, what temperature each frozen category actually needs, and how our purpose-built freezer fleet keeps the cold chain intact for restaurants, distributors, and importers.
The challenge is not the cold — any freezer unit can reach −18°C in a yard. The challenge is holding it through a working day of deliveries in extreme ambient heat. Three things separate reliable frozen transport from the rest.
When the outside air is 45°C and your cargo must stay at −18°C, that is a 63-degree gap the refrigeration unit fights continuously. An under-powered or converted van keeps up on the motorway and loses ground in stop-start traffic.
A frozen run making twelve drops across Deira, Al Quoz, and Downtown opens its cargo door dozens of times. Each opening lets warm, humid air in. A well-engineered freezer van recovers to set-point in minutes; a weak one drifts warmer with every stop, so the last delivery is the most at risk.
This is the one that costs businesses quietly. Frozen food that partially thaws and refreezes can look perfect and still be ruined: ice cream develops large ice crystals and a grainy texture, frozen seafood loses moisture and quality, and any thaw is a food-safety concern.
Operator’s note: we pre-cool every freezer vehicle before loading and run rapid door-recovery units precisely because the failure point is the stops, not the drive. A van loaded into an un-cooled box in a Dubai summer has already lost the chain before it leaves the yard — so we never do it.
Not all frozen cargo holds at the same temperature. Tell us the product and we set the vehicle accordingly.

Restaurants & cloud kitchens · frozen food distributors and importers · supermarkets and grocery chains · hotels and catering companies · ice cream and dessert brands · seafood importers — across Dubai, with same-day dispatch and scheduled distribution routes.
Every vehicle is HACCP-certified with food-grade interiors sanitised before dispatch, and we issue temperature and hygiene records with each booking. Our vehicles are built to meet Dubai Municipality food-transport requirements; cross-emirate runs are documented to the destination emirate’s standards. The result is the paperwork your food-safety inspector expects — an intact, documented cold chain — already in your file.
Confirm any specific Dubai Municipality food-transport permit / vehicle approval number and reference it precisely, or keep the softer “built to meet… requirements” wording. Don’t imply an approval that isn’t held.
Purpose-built sub-zero vehicles — not chiller vans running cold. Factory-fitted Carrier and Thermo King units, thicker insulation, freezer-grade door seals, and fast recovery. Driver, GPS tracking, and hygiene certificate included.

Standard frozen food is held at −18°C. Ice cream and confectionery are carried at −22°C to protect texture, and seafood or deep-frozen goods at −22°C to −25°C. We set the vehicle to your product’s requirement.
Vehicles are pre-cooled before loading and run rapid door-recovery refrigeration that restores set-point within minutes of each door opening — so cargo on the last drop stays as frozen as the first. This prevents the thaw-and-refreeze damage that ruins texture and food safety.
Yes. Ice cream is one of the most temperature-sensitive frozen products; we carry it at −22°C in purpose-built freezer vans with fast recovery, which is what protects it against partial thaw on hot multi-stop routes.
